2022 Holiday Shipping Updates + Order Deadlines
Happy Holidays friends!
We’ve been getting lots of questions about shipping and order deadlines so we decided to answer all of them here.
To receive items in time for Christmas we HIGHLY suggest placing your order by December 12th. Though we will be shipping orders through December 21, we don’t recommend waiting and do not guarantee Christmas arrival for orders placed after December 12th.
What are the Shipping Options:
We ship using UPS and USPS. Shipping costs vary depending on the total weight of the goods in your cart and your desired shipping method. You can see the total shipping cost at check out. As always, domestic orders of $75+ ship free.
How long will it take my items to ship:
During our busy season (October through December), please allow 5-6 business days for processing plus shipping time. Each item is carefully wrapped and packaged by hand so that it will reach you in great condition.
The shipping method selected at checkout dictates how your order will be shipped, and also the speed of shipment. Please note this is separate from our production time, which is the time to create and pack your order. You can select from USPS First Class, USPS Priority or USPS Priority Express. Typically First Class takes 3-5 business days, Priority takes 2-3, and Priority Express takes 1-2, depending on where you are in the country. However, we highly suggest ordering early because shipping delays are already happening due to the pandemic and busy holiday shipping season.
I live in Denver, can I pick up my order?
Yes! You can enter code "PICKUP" at checkout. You will receive an email when your package is ready and Lana will reach out to confirm a time window that works for pickup.
Why is my package still in pre-transit?
During the holidays, some items are not being scanned, even if they are en route. Rest assured, your item was shipped out on the day you received tracking information. Turning on the text and email updates can sometimes help things move along.
What can I do to speed things along?
The best shipping tip I can offer is to turn on your text and email updates on usps.com. You can do so by clicking here. I've noticed that packages magically start moving again once they realize someone is watching!!
What do I do if I never received my order?
If your package shows as delivered but you don’t have it, first please check with your ring system, neighbors, front desk, or mailman to see if it may have been accidentally delivered to the wrong address or scanned incorrectly.
A little tip about filing a Missing Mail request and Geo-tracing (which is different than filing a Claim)
When a postal carrier scans a package as “Delivered” on the MMD device, the software also attaches the GPS coordinates of the location. If you didn’t receive the package, you should call your local post office or submit a Missing Mail request as soon as possible to verify that it was actually delivered to your address and/or identify to which address it was delivered. Oftentimes, If your package was delivered to the wrong address, your post office can use the GPS information (geo-tracing) and retrieve the package and return it to you.
Filing A Claim
If you still can’t find you package, it is time to file a claim. Unfortunately, once a package is marked "delivered," Lana’s Shop is not responsible for missing packages due to theft or USPS error.
If the post office confirms that GPS coordinates show the package was delivered to your address, there is a possibility your package was stolen. Depending on the value of the contents and whether insurance was purchased, you may be able to file a claim.
We’ve found that recipient-initiated investigations are smoother when processing the inquiry through correct channels, so unfortunately we’re unable to open the investigation on your behalf.
Keep in mind this is a season of love and being thoughtful. Your recipient will be equally as thrilled with your care even if your gift is late. I am grateful for your choosing Lana’s Shop during this holiday season and always.
